Cecily strong
Cecily Legler Strong was born on the 8th of February 1984. She is an American comic and actress. Strong is best known for her part as a Saturday Night Live cast member from 2012 to 2022. She is also the longest-running woman cast member of the show's past. Strong was an CalArts graduate who was a improv instructor at The Second City in Chicago. Her current position is a performer on the Apple TV+ musical comedy show Schmigadoon! She is also co-producing the show (2021 to present).
Her other tasks include voice overs for The Awesomes (2013-2015), supporting roles in films like Ghostbusters, The Meddler, and The Female Brain. In 2015, she hosted the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Her first book, a memoir This will all be Over Soon, was published in 2021.
She was nominated by Primetime Emmy Awards at the 72nd and 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards as Outstanding Supporting Artist on a Comedy Series for her work on Saturday Night Live.
Childhood and early life
Strong was born in Springfield Illinois and grew up in Oak Park (an inner-ring suburb of Chicago). She is the daughter of Penelope Strong and William Strong. He was a chief of the Associated Press bureau and also had his own company for PR from 2013. Penny Legler Strong, a nurse practitioner who worked extensively in area hospitals, is now retired. Strong's parents are divorced. Strong grew up adoring SNL as a youngster as she reenacted sketches with her companion and watching older SNL commercials on VHS. "I owned a tape of the best commercials and was always wearing it." She said that Phil Hartman was the person who inspired her.
